Colour Guide 2021

Looking ahead to 2021, many of us will be delving into the world of interior design as we refresh our homes and do up our décor!

Which is why we have taken inspiration from the leading paint manufacturers for our colour guide for 2021. Take a look at the colours below and let your home be inspired…

Muted Neutrals

If you’re looking for a neutral palette that’s capable of complimenting any decor, then this one is for you. Using calming shades, ‘muted neutrals’ help create a soothing home for all. Taking shades from nature, this palette will work in an array of combinations and can be added to with various textures for that added natural beauty.

Mixing wool carpet, whether tufted or looped would work well with this trend. Be sure to look at warm tones to work with the cooler tones in the palette.

Warm Neutrals

This palette takes the Muted Neutrals and simply builds on it with those all-important warm pink tones. These colours are bright enough to inject some colour into your home but not so much that they overrun a space or become a focal point. Again, all of these colours would work perfectly with wool carpets, whether tufted or loop. For a more natural look, try a weathered finish like our Riverside Twist or Swaledale ranges.

The Joy of Colour

This palette is for the bold. With superb bright shades that can be used as simple accent colours or as bold style statements, this palette deserves a bright or daring carpet to compliment the look. Our Stripes or patterned carpets would work well. Again, wool carpets will provide an added texture and warmth that will take this palter to new heights.

Childs Play

As the name suggests, this palette is perfect for a Childs bedroom or playroom. Using shades that wake up the senses is a great way to add fun and personality to a space. Taking inspiration from primary colours, this palette adds the warm tone of peach and cool tone of pale grey to tone down the overall look. Combining these colours will result in a party for the eyes. Couple this palette with a bold stripe like our Durham Twist Stripes or Deco Collection Stripes for a style statement worthy of shouting about.

Essence of Nature

This palette takes the shades found in nature and dials them up to create something that is calming yet bold. With a variety of accent colours, combinations of this palette will work in any room. As the name suggests, this palette is all about natural influences, so wool carpets are a must. From plain to weathered, patterned to striped, any of our wool carpets will compliment this palette thanks to the mix of tones and shades.
