Washing your carpet (or wet cleaning) should be carried out on a semi regular basis, usually by a professional carpet cleaner.
Those areas that receive the most traffic or are subjected to a high level of soiling, require the most frequent cleaning and should be a priority when it comes to wet cleaning.
The number of times you need to wash your carpet, depends on the success of your daily maintenance routine.
Its important not to over wet a carpet and once cleaned, allow it to fully dry before using the space again. Take care to adhere to any guidelines on the carpet cleaning solutions or equipment to avoid over treating the carpet. This could cause a sticky, stained appearance once cleaning has finished.
If you have a wool carpet, be sure that any products used to clean it, are approved and carry the relevant Woolsafe certification.
